MAC-Address: Find out unique network id of your network card
Each network adapter has it's own unique identifier. This identifier is called "MAC Address". Each device in your network has this identifier too - your router as well as your network printer.
The MAC Address consits of six bytes, normally shown as hexadecimal figures. Normally, you can find the address printed on each network adapter.
But there is also a way to find the number with Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Simply click Start/Run and enter cmd.
Next enter the command ipconfig /all.
In the line Physical address you can find the network card's MAC Address. After that leave the command line interface by entering exit
